Leeds Met Innovation North Research Conference

From Monday, 10. July, to Wednesday, 12. July, the 2nd Annual Faculty Research Conference of our faculty "Innovation North" was organised at the Headingley Campus of Leeds Metropolitan University. There were 120 participants, 46 research presentations from students and researchers at Leeds Met and affiliated or partner universities, and 11 keynote speakers. The event was very well organised, and it provided an excellent overview on the various research topics dealt with at our faculty. Here are a few official pictures from that event.

Especially welcome was the group of Austrian PhD students from our partner university Danube-University Krems, who used this opportunity to present the progress of their work during first PhD year, and to get an insight into ongoing research activities of Innovation North. They used this opportunity to have individual sessions with their Leeds Met PhD supervisors. Since I am involved in the supervision of four of them, I too participated in a few additional meetings. They are on the right track, and their progress is well appreciated.

Next year this event will take place again, around the same time.
