Twitter Widget Update

More trouble on the IT front: since recently (I do not know since when, maybe since a few weeks) the Twitter Widget did not work anymore. I had used the widget in my blog(s) and website(s) to automatically show my latest tweets. Recently that block had been simply black. I had attributed this to internet connection problems, but today I realised that this was a systemic failure: Twitter has now a new way of embedding their widget.

So I changed now in a few places this widget and replaced it with the new one.

Twestival Tonight

Today in the evening, 18:00, there will be a Twestival here in Leeds, organised by the NTI of Leeds Met at the Old Broadcasting House. This is a meeting of all the Twitterers who use the online service Twitter.

Micro-Blogging from Mobile: Twitter

As I did a bit of searching re. blogging, I came across Twitter. This is a site which supports a kind of miniature blogging. I had known about it before, as some of my friends on Facebook use this to update their status line, and I was always wondering what it meant: "xxx is twitterint: ...". Now I tried it myself - works excellent. The best thing is: I can just send a txt from my mobile phone to it. I will try it out in the future when I am going to be on travel.
