Visit by Krems Students in Leeds
From Monday, 21.4. - Wednesday, 23.4., four PhD students from the Danube University Krems (Monika, Bernd, Martin, Julius) visited Leeds Met. A few meetings with the respective supervisors took place, as well as an evening in the Arcadia Pub.

PhD Seminar
The main reason why Claudio has invited me to this conference was the participation in the newly launched European PhD supervision program. In the afternoon a seminar is held for those PhD students. I learn that this collaboration with Austrian Universities actually pre-dates the collaboration with Krems DUK!

Wikispaces
Wikispaces is a web site in which anyone can set up a Wiki. So I decided to set one up: for myself (not much there yet, just trying out and deciding what to put there) and one for the students whom I supervise. This is just in the initial stages - I will invite all students in whose supervision I am involved. This Wiki will provide a place where a network can be built among these students, to share information among each other and to have a forum for presentinr their own work and projects.
