Whitby Abbey. 

First I use the opportunity to visit the abbey grounds. Now, in the bright sunlight, the ruins of the abbey do not look very spooky. They stand on a hill, overlooking the town from the East, and providing a spectacular view of the coast and the surrounding landscape. There are several beautiful angles from which to take pictures.
